Health and Longevity Chi Gong (Jian Kang Chang Shou Gong)

Thursdays, 5:15 – 6:15 pm

Instructor: Michelle Bobier

Chi Gong is a form of moving meditation created thousands of years ago in China. “Chi” refers to the life force; “gong” mean “to cultivate.” The purpose of cultivating our chi is to calm and focus the mind, balance the energies of the body, and encourage the free flow of the life force.  Jian Kang Chang Shou Gong is a form of medical Chi Gong created by Master Hongchao Zhang. The graceful, powerful movements of this form emphasize grounding, joint flexibility, balance, and opening the chest and lungs; in the process, virtually all the acupuncture meridians are addressed. The form is suitable for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students alike.
