Why I Created the Low-Cost Yoga Therapy Clinic

Have you ever felt like exercise just isn’t for you anymore?

Maybe you’ve tried the gym, but it felt overwhelming or uncomfortable. Maybe your doctor suggested yoga, but every class seemed too fast-paced or assumed everyone’s body moved the same way. Maybe physical therapy helped for a while, but once you were on your own, you weren’t quite sure how to continue with confidence. Or perhaps you’ve been faithfully doing the same yoga video or home exercise routine for years, quietly wondering, “Am I actually doing this well?”

If any of that sounds familiar, the problem may not be you.

Most movement instruction is designed for the average body. The cues are generalized, the exercises are standardized, and it’s assumed everyone will respond in roughly the same way. But our bodies carry different histories, different anatomy, different injuries, and different movement habits. Sometimes what helps one person simply isn’t the cue another person needs.

My work is about helping you understand how your body moves.

Together, we identify the movement habits that may no longer be serving you and discover strategies that fit your unique body. Over time, you begin building an owner’s manual for your body—learning why one movement feels good while another doesn’t, when an exercise needs to be adapted, and how to move with greater confidence instead of guesswork.

That’s why I created the Low-Cost Yoga Therapy Clinic.

Some people are looking for individualized guidance at a more accessible price. Others learn best when they have space to practice, repeat, and integrate movement before receiving the next layer of instruction.

The Clinic is not a traditional yoga class where everyone follows the same sequence. Instead, each participant works on their personalized therapeutic practice based on their goals, movement patterns, and current abilities. I, and other Yoga Teacher Assistants, move throughout the room offering individual guidance, feedback, and adjustments as needed.

If you are a new client, your first Clinic session begins with an individual intake so I can learn about your health history, goals, and how you move. This intake becomes the foundation for designing your therapeutic practice.

From there, your therapeutic sequence is shaped for each session. Whether you’re feeling strong and ready for a challenge or arriving after a stressful week, returning from travel, or needing something more restorative, we work with the body you have that day—not the one you wish you had.

One of the most consistent pieces of feedback I hear is that the Clinic allows time to process and practice. In a private session, information moves quickly and the entire hour is often structured around continuous feedback. In the Clinic, you have space to repeat a movement, notice what you feel, and integrate the instruction before we build on it. Many people find that this slower rhythm actually helps the work stick.

The Clinic may be a good fit if you:

  • Want individualized yoga therapy at a lower cost than regular private sessions
  • Learn best when you have time to practice, ask questions, receive periodic feedback, and understand why a movement works for your body.
  • Don’t feel ready or fit enough for standard exercise classes
  • Are managing pain, stiffness, or movement limitations
  • Want ongoing support without the intensity or cost of weekly privates
  • Appreciate the camaraderie and motivation of a small group while still receiving individual attention

The Clinic is intentionally kept small (5 students max) so each person receives meaningful, individualized support.

If you’ve ever felt like exercise “isn’t for you anymore,” the issue may not be exercise itself—it may be that you haven’t yet had an environment designed for how you learn and move.

My work is about helping you build your own owner’s manual for your body—so you can understand what helps, what doesn’t, and how to adapt when things change.

If you’ve been curious about yoga therapy but want a more accessible way to begin, the Low-Cost Yoga Therapy Clinic may be a good place to start.
