The immense enthusiasm I have for understanding and practicing this beautiful hand-healing art of Shiatsu has stayed with me since I began studying in 1975. My Japanese teachers could not speak English well, so they were diligent in imparting the feeling of the work. It is the feeling of deeply understanding and caring for your client; of wishing the best for them; and doing your best for them. Next comes the skillful precision of your technique. And, finally, the knowledge and understanding of the theoretical base is necessary.

I took this to heart and, after extensive study and apprenticeships, became a world-known expert and teacher of Shiatsu. I am still SO in love with this work! I believe people find it easier to be happy when they can move freely without pain. My purpose is to help reduce or eradicate their pain – and the personal suffering that makes it worse.
