Step into Spring with Eight Pieces of Brocade Chi Gong

April 6, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Eight Pieces of Brocade Chi Gong, otherwise known as Ba Duan Jin, is one of the most ancient forms of Chinese martial arts; its origins go back over 2,000 years. The form consists of eight movements that exercise the entire body, with each movement carrying different, multiple health benefits.  Eight Pieces of Brocade is both calming and energizing; it truly is meditation in action.  Additionally, it improves focus, affords excellent stress management, and is a superior form of joint-sparing, weight-bearing exercise.  This simple, powerful, venerable form is one of the most popular forms of Chi Gong. Once you experience it, you’ll see why.

Chi Gong, sometimes called the mother of Tai Chi, is a form of exercise and moving meditation invented in China thousands of years ago to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and encourage the free flow of the life force. Chi Gong may help with high blood pressure, sense of balance, depression, mental focus, stress management, sleep disorders, and lack of energy.
