We are delighted once again to welcome H.E. Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche to Ösel Ling. Rinpoche will present two sets of teachings between the dates of Friday, August 16 and 21st — teachings on the classic Mahayana text, Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend and on The Seven-Line Supplication to Guru Rinpoche.
Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend

During this weekend program, Rinpoche will bestow teachings on the classic Mahayana text, Nagarjuna’s Letter to a Friend. The presentation of the entire fundamental teachings of the Great Vehicle is written by this great Buddhist master in the form of 123 poetic verses of advice to a South Indian king. It is a pithy and inspiring exposition filled with imagery that captures the essence of the path.
Nagarjuna was remarkable in his wisdom and accomplishment, and in his great understanding of how to bring the path of the bodhisattva fully into everyday life. It is extremely fortunate for the Ösel Ling community that Rinpoche will teach on this text, through which all levels of practitioners can deepen certainty and confidence of the Mahayana view and strengthen their path of practice and compassionate living.
The Seven-Line Supplication to Guru Rinpoche
Tuesday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 21
Over two weekday nights, Rinpoche will give teachings on The Seven-Line Supplication to Guru Rinpoche. This is perhaps the most treasured and recited prayer in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It can provide powerful support and protection to the practitioner who takes it to heart, and yet can be challenging to understand in the full depth of its meaning. It is very auspicious for the Ösel Ling community that Rinpoche will teach on this beloved prayer and provide guidance on the profundity of its multiple levels of meaning.
