Summer Reflections

Posted on June 17, 2016

It is summer, a time of the spirit of graduations, weddings and journeys of all sorts.  A season to build in more leisure time to our schedules, to spend more time in nature and to reflect on the direction of our lives when we return to the industrious season of autumn.  For those of us on a healing path, it is a time to evaluate the direction of our practices. As we evolve through our own personal healing, we also look at our practices and our service to the world through our work.  We are at a dynamic time in history.  All spiritualists and news anchors are telling us this.  We are called to serve during this time of energetic shift in a manner that engages our spiritual gifts and also in a way that honors our personal essence, personality and health.

Healing from an ancient Temple, Malta

Many of my clients are mothers. AS women they are challenged by the demands that are placed on them to “be” something more than a nurturer, or caretaker.  They are working hard to pursue a professional life, private practice or business that gives them a place in the world.  Many healers have fantastic gifts that they are using with the greatest benefit to those that they love and are closest to them. Their work at home is powerful and transformation beyond measure.

I had the wonderful experience of a mystic journey to Malta in May.  It was a beautiful trip and exploration.  The temples that my group explored were thousands of years before Christ.  During this time, the Divine Feminine was powerful and honored.  Equally important, the integration of feminine and masculine energy was so much a part of their sacred ceremony and teachings. My brother asked me why I went to see all of those rocks! Even though they may have looked similar they held very different energy as each temple had a different purpose in ancient Malta,  These temples are older than the pyramids. AS our vibrations elevate. we are more open to receive the wisdom that is there for us from our ancient past.

This is also the season that we honor fathers and the divine masculine. AS the divine feminine natures of women are loved and supported, so will the divine masculine be more supported and actualized.  This will take time, perhaps many lifetimes for us to integrate these energies within ourselves.  So until then, I would like to end with a quote from a spiritual director of mine many years ago. He was a very special man who had a lasting impact not only on my spiritual development,  but my entire life journey.  “The best gift that a father can give to his children is to love their mother.”   Many happy summer journeys!
