Mark Repplinger teaches specific practices for calming the mind and body in the Meditation for Wellbeing class. Offered in a safe and welcoming setting, the class is very good for beginning or continuing a meditation practice. The neuroscience of meditation and contemporary Western understandings of ancient practices — as well as discussion — will be included. Louise Rosenberg, Licensed Massage Therapist, Board Member, Tsogyaling Meditation Center, leads a midweek Mindfulness Meditation session. Louise first learned to meditate three years ago here at Tsogyaling Meditation Center of Evanston. She enjoys reading a variety of both Buddhist and non-Buddhist work on mindfulness. Beverly Zeldin-Palmer is a sangha member at Tsogyaling Meditation Center who has been practicing Tibetan Mindfulness Meditation and attending classes on Tibetan Buddhism at Tsogyaling for the past two years. Corinne Peterson, MPH, LMT, NCTMB, RYT, has been a student of yoga for over 25 years and has been teaching since 1994. She received her first yoga instructor certification through the Temple of Kriya Yoga and a subsequent certification as a teacher and yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Corinne is certified in Yoga of the Heart, a program for people with cancer and heart disease. She has also received training in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga through the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute (founded by Bessel van der Kolk).
