Lori HowellCongratulations to Heartwood practitioner, Lori Howell, on receiving  her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) this past month.   As well as maintaining her private practice at Heartwood, Lori is on the faculty at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Heartwood Center Partners with Imagining Peace Conference

IP 02April 26-28, 2013:  Heartwood Center is proud to be partnering with the weekend-long Imagining Peace Conference taking place in Chicago this spring. Joining organizations such as Cease Fire and the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence, teens from Nancy Floy’s meditation class at the Evanston Library will be attending and participating. The event kicks off on Friday, April 26, with a talk by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche of Shamabala on “Creating Enlightened Society.” Have a voice as we eliminate violence and create peace. TOGETHER!

Heartwood Founder and President Nancy Floy invites anyone to attend: “This event is an opportunity to take your meditation practice off of your cushion and into society by participating in these issues that are vital to our local communities. The conference will be filled with opportunities for meditation instructions from Sakyang Mipham Rinpoche, as well as other senior meditation teachers.
