The 40s are a time of change, challenge and transformation. Though we share commonalities, the experience is unique for each woman – affecting different facets of our lives.  During this time our physical bodies begin to change, memory shifts, and emotions fluctuate.  Children are growing older, perhaps just entering school or even going off to college.  Parents are also aging and may need more care.  It is a time for reevaluating careers and passions.

This workshop is an opportunity to share our common experiences and explore our own unique expression through the practice of yoga.  In this session we will use the CHAKRA model as our framework. The chakras are energy centers along the spine that correspond to different aspects of our human experience.  These centers relate to our physical body, mind and emotions.  They also roughly correlate to our endocrine system, which is going through a major transition in the 40s. Thus the chakras provide a perfect lens through which to view this transformative time.

Throughout the series will use movement, breath and yoga nidra meditation to bring balance to our chakras, and our lives.  Please join us in this non-competitive, supportive environment.  Our sessions are geared toward the needs of the participants, so all women are welcome – experienced students and beginners alike.
