In yoga, the energy centers along the spine are referred to as “chakras”. These centers relate to our physical body, mind and emotions. Please join us for this ten-week session as we journey through this energy system. Each session begins with 50 minutes of mindful yoga movement to stretch, strengthen and nourish each chakra. We then enter a 40-minute Yoga Nidra session, to deepen our exploration, bringing balance and wholeness.
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided mindfulness meditation that deeply relaxes the body, calms the mind and nourishes the spirit. It is a systematic process for leading the body and mind into receptive states of relaxation and deep presence. Through this process we are able to access inner healing and the pure awareness of being. Yoga Nidra is a powerful tool to help eliminate stress, overcome insomnia, solve problems, resolve trauma, and neutralize anxiety, fear, anger and depression. It is a process we can use to explore our life experiences and enter into a deeper connection with all that is.
Our sessions are geared toward the needs of the participants, so all women are welcome – experienced students and beginners alike.
