As the season changes, join us to practice simple mindfulness and focusing… to pause, get out of automatic pilot and be more present. A community Focusing and Mindfulness session Oct 2nd, 6 to 7 pm. With Mindfulness and Focusing you draw on your deep bodily sense of calm and competence to move forward.

Marsha Smith, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and certified Focusing and mindfulness trainer who integrates body-mind practices and other practical approaches to help with a variety of emotional, health and social challenges. 

You’ll learn about resources available to support you with your self care and emotional well-being. You’ll be introduced to ways to manage stress, anxiety and frustration with more calm and skills to deepen your awareness so you can move past blocks and find steps of change.

For healing professionals: The class is an introduction to mindfulness and focusing training for work with clients. Ongoing CEU training opportunities are available beginning October. In the training you’ll learn practical step-by-step methods for helping clients work though problems and find relief, insight and new steps of action, using mindfulness and focusing
