Art Workshop with Dharma Talk and Meditation

Sunday, May 31, 2:00pm-5:00pm

In this three part workshop we will study, experience and explore the Three Hindrances – ignorance – ill-will and pride, and come to a better understanding of hUntitled1ow they effect your life. Both art and Buddhist teachings provide a tool for better understanding of our cognitive processes.

$35 suggested donation per participant. Art supplies and meditation mats are provided. Participants of all levels are welcome. Sensei Mui will be available for private sessions as well.

Marianne Lagercrantz, artist, teacher and certified art therapist, has been working with art and children, youth and adults for the last 20 plus years in her native Sweden, in Greece, in France and the USA. She includes meditation, reflection and mindfulness as a part of her teaching. Ms. Lagercrantz is educated in Sweden.

Charlotta Koppanyi holds a Masters degree in Psychology and a BA in Contemporary Religion from Stockholm University and has studied Jungian psychology and Buddhism since the 1990’s.

Sensei Mui has been a Buddhist practitioner since his ordination as a Theravada forest monk in Thailand (1971). He has been trained in the Buddhist traditions of T’ien T’ai, Pure Land, Soto Zen and has also completed advanced studies in Tibetan Buddhism. He has received Dharma transmissions from a variety of Buddhist Teachers and holds a Ph.D. in Abhidhamma from the Buddhist and Pali Institute in Sri Lanka.
