Heartwood's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

October 25, 2010

Congratulations AND many thanks to everyone who came out to be a part of our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. In addition to the support of our local leaders, we were joined by members of the business community, our neighbors, phenomenal vendors and supportive friends. Heartwood Center is your local healing place and we couldn't be more delighted to officially open our doors to everyone!

Heartwood family with their amazing workmanship and
tireless support.

Dick Peach, Nancy Floy, Asang

DIck Peach of Dempster Auto Rebuilders and active member of
the area's growing business community stopped by to
welcome Nancy, Asang and the Heartwood community
to the neighborhood.

Heartwood's beautiful garden is due in part to Pearl May (far right)

care company who helped plan and plant the new green space.

Julie Scher Nebel (psychotherapy), Erich Morraine (personal
growth trainer), Alison Oakes (psychotherapy) and Sarah

practitioners on hand to provide tours of the center
and talk about their work.

Dickelle Fonda learns more about Charlotte Christian (acupuncture)
in her treatment space. Every practitioner at Heartwood is
self-employed; that's more than 40 independent businesses

One of the most dramatic aspects of the
remodeling project was the new facade,
due in part to the grant from the City of
Evanston. Bricklayers Tony Tortorella (second

North Shore Brick did the amazing
brickwork installation.
